Google adds walking directions and Bad Neighborhood Warnings!

Google Maps assumed everybody drives to their destination, until now. Yep! Google Maps finally has an option for step-by-step walking directions. Accounting for the speed difference between your kicks and four-wheeled gas-guzzlers, it estimates covering a mile will take about 19 minutes. And it says to use caution in dicey areas (I guess you’ll be routed around them as it’s updated?). Hopefully this gets added to the iPhone’s maps in the next update!

Sure, you might loathe Apple with every fiber of your Windows-running being. But look at this iPod USB stick. It’s so cute. How can you hate it? It comes in 1GB and 2GB flavors for £19.95 (about $40, damn weak dollar) and £24.95 ($50). Yep, still adorable…I WANT ONE!! ^____^

Dell Extends Windows XP Home Deadline to June 26, Cites “Popular Demand”

Dell wrote us to say that due to popular demand (read: common sense), they are extending the deadline for customers who want to order systems with Windows XP Home. A Dell rep said customers can order select configurations of the Inspiron 530 or 530s desktops with Windows XP Home  through June 26. This means if you’re in the market for a Dell, and don’t want to pay the surcharge for downgrading your bundle from Vista to XP, you have a few more days to do it!!
