Pownce will be no more…

Turns out that pownce the twitter copycat on E…if you get my meaning is shutting its doors. Personally I only used Pownce to listen to music my friends posted. Other than that it was just there for me. Pownce had a good run creater Kevin Rose also known to be the fouder of Digg which is still open mind you. I guess a main issue was the overall lack of usage it needed to stay open. First off o get the pro account you had to pay?! I mean honestly if you want to be a good 2.0 Web/App you know you can’t charge people money only for pro accounts. But I guess they took a diffrent route with it and it didn’t work out as well as Digg did. But the guys at powne played ther cards right, because they got bought over by Six Apart which is another social netowrking/blogging site not really sure myself. But I do know they own TypePad, which you could say is a direcet competitor with Wordpad. Anyway, good luck to the guys out of a job who worked for pownce I’m sire you wll find jobs and keep up the good work!
